Five Players Selected for Historic Alliance Cup Squad

BBOB Ladies continue to make their mark, with five players selected as founding members of the first-ever Northampton & District Women’s Alliance Cup team.

Following the recent Northamptonshire & District Rugby Alliance training camp, the club is delighted to confirm that Beth Earby, Hollie-Mae Philpot, Kasey Wright, Jenna Joseph, and Laura Targett have all been selected as founding players for the inaugural women’s Alliance Cup side.

Being chosen for the first squad ever assembled is truly history in the making, and it reflects the dedication, commitment, skill, and sportsmanship these players demonstrate week in, week out. Their selection is a fantastic recognition of the hard work they continue to put in both on the training field and on match days.

This achievement represents a significant milestone not only for the players themselves but and for the BBOB as a club, but most importantly for the ongoing growth of the women’s game across the region. Seeing our players help set the standard for a brand-new representative team is something the whole club can be incredibly proud of.

The news follows on from the same Alliance training camp that saw Leigh-Anne Trigg impress selectors and earn the opportunity to trial for East Midlands, making it a particularly exciting moment for the BBOB Ladies section.

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate all five players on this outstanding achievement. Their selection is a well-deserved reward for the effort, commitment, and passion they continue to show for the game.

Up the Brigade.
