Some incredibly good news to share from the recent Northamptonshire & District Rugby Alliance training camp. Not only were we successful in having eight of our Ladies being invited to an Alliance training camp, we’re thrilled to announce that Leigh-Anne Trigg has been selected to go forward to trial for the East Midlands.
The Alliance camp was a fantastic first ever opportunity for players across the region to come together, test themselves in a new environment, and be challenged at a representative level. Our BBOB Ladies embraced the experience, putting in a huge amount of effort and showing exactly the kind of commitment and attitude that has driven the team’s growth over the past few seasons.
Leigh-Anne’s progression is thoroughly deserved. She is a player who gives her all every single week. At training, on match days, and in everything she does for the team. Her work rate, determination to improve, and willingness to put the effort in never go unnoticed, and it’s brilliant to see that dedication rewarded with this next opportunity.
Stepping up to an East Midlands trial is a big moment and a chance to experience rugby at an even higher level. Everyone at BBOB is incredibly proud of Leigh-Anne and excited to see her take this next step. She should be proud of how far she’s come, and we’ll all be behind her as she takes on this challenge.
We’ll also share further updates on the outcome of the Alliance squad as soon as we have more news.
Moments like this continue to highlight the progress being made within our Ladies section, and we’re delighted to see our players gaining the recognition they deserve.
Up the Brigade!
