It’s an exciting time for our club as we celebrate a major milestone in the development of our junior section.
Three of our Under-14 players have been selected to attend Northampton District & Alliance training this Friday. A fantastic honour that recognises both their individual talent and the collective progress of the squad.
Huge congratulations to Flynn, Reggie and AJ!
Selection for District & Alliance training is a significant achievement at this stage of a player’s journey, offering the opportunity to train alongside other standout players from across the region while learning from experienced coaches in a representative environment.
A Journey Built on Hard Work and Belief
What makes this recognition even more special is the remarkable story behind this group’s rise.
At the beginning of last season, the squad consisted of just four players. A number that might have discouraged many teams. Instead, it became the foundation for something bigger. Those early numbers have now grown into a strong, competitive squad.
Over the past year, the players have:
The Alliance selections this week are a reflection of that sustained effort, not just from the three players attending, but from the entire squad that has pushed standards higher together.
A Bit of a Trend for the BB
This latest success follows closely on the heels of another proud moment for the club, with one of our women’s players recently invited to attend an East Midlands trial after participating in a similar Alliance training camp.
That pathway demonstrates exactly what these opportunities can lead to. A chance to challenge yourself, gain exposure to higher levels of the game, and open doors for future progression.
Now, it’s the lads’ turn to embrace that experience.
Pride Across the Club
Everyone involved with the club is immensely proud of what Flynn, Reggie, and AJ have achieved so far. Their call-up represents not only personal recognition but also validation of the work being done across our youth programme to nurture players, rebuild numbers, and create an environment where young athletes can thrive.
Whatever happens next, this is already a moment worth celebrating, and one that will inspire their teammates and other age groups to follow in their footsteps.
The lads should be very proud of themselves, because we certainly are.
We wish them the very best as they take this next step, represent the club with pride, and enjoy every second of the experience.
Up the Brigade!
