SUNDAY 18TH JANUARY - A team isn't just a group of players wearing the same shirt.
A team is trust, resilience, listening to one another, and working together when things don't quite go to plan.
After the first game, which was always going to be a tough one, the girls were challenged by the coaches. They were given clear guidance, reminding them to have self belief, and motivating them via constructive feedback. What followed was everything you could ever want to see, such a fantastic response.
The girls adjusted, adapted, showed maturity beyond their years, and demonstrated their clear understanding of what they needed to do. More importantly, they did it together.
Communication improved, effort went up another level, and the togetherness on the pitch was there for all to see.
They showed exactly what the BBOB spirit is all about; working for each other, staying positive, listening, learning and responding, and never giving up.
Progress is all we ever ask for - and today the girls delivered that in abundance. Their bond is strong, their belief is growing, and it's clear that this group is moving in the right direction.
A huge thank you to all the parents and supporters on the touchline. Your encouragement, positivity, and backing - win, lose, or learn - makes a massive difference to this group and helps create the environment these girls need to grow and enjoy their rugby.
Up the brigade!
