U12 Girls put in another stellar performance

Venue: Northampton BBOB RFC
Team: U12 Girls
Game Date: 19th October 2025
Conditions: Wet

SUNDAY 19TH OCTOBER - As the rain came down our girls began their new pre match ritual. The braiders were hard at work, and the girls had fun painting their faces for battle. It's great to see how little things like this are really helping the girls to bond and prepare for the game ahead.

Market Harborough kindly brought a mixed club team to ensure the fixture went ahead, and the game was played in fantastic spirits from start to finish.

Both sides showed great teamwork and sportsmanship, but our girls built brilliantly on last weekend's performance and turned into a force to be reckoned with.

Aleeyah showed her trademark pace, darting through gaps and leaving defenders behind. Poppy's confidence and ability blossomed — she's growing stronger with every game. Evelyn was unstoppable near the try line, crossing the whitewash multiple times (and rumour has it, a costly incentive plan from her parents).

Cleo worked tirelessly around the pitch, always putting in the hard yards and making some tough tackles. Ruby impressed again with her pace and determination, constantly driving the team forward.

Amelie was inspirational - her tackling, running, and leadership on the field were outstanding. Katia showed great enthusiasm and you could tell she really enjoyed her time on the pitch. Ferret (aka Jemima) spent most of her time ferreting around the breakdowns (and stayed onside - mostly). Abigail's work rate was fantastic - she never stopped and is definitely one to watch.

A special mention for Ocean, who played brilliantly in her first run-out for the team — we're so glad you've joined us and can't wait to see how you progress. And finally, Georgia was voted Player of the Match by the opposition
— a well-deserved accolade for her all-round effort and impact.

Big shout-out to all the coaches for their hard work and energy, to Folly for taking charge of the whistle once again, and to the parents for their amazing support.

And a BIG, BIG thank you to all the parents who helped in the kitchen - the whole club appreciated your efforts.

You guys were absolutely awesome and kept everyone fuelled full of potatoes!

Up the Brigade!
